Our Story
I am a Filipina, and my husband is an American.
Our story began online in 2023—at a time when we were both single parents, cautious but hopeful that real love could still find us.
After about a month and a half of getting to know each other online, he made a decision that spoke louder than words: he flew to the Philippines to meet me in person. That first visit changed everything. We spent real time together—learning each other’s values, parenting styles, and intentions.
During that very first trip, he proposed.
Shortly after, we filed for the K-1 fiancé visa. Even then, we understood that love isn’t proven by paperwork alone. Distance can create anxiety, so instead of relying on promises, he showed consistency. He visited me every few months—a total of five trips—never just to see me, but to build a genuine relationship with my children and my family.
His actions showed his true intentions.
In return, I showed him the love, care, loyalty, and family values that Filipinas are known for—not as a stereotype, but as lived truth.
In November 2024, I moved to the United States.
On December 14, 2024, we got married.
Today, we are happily married—and deeply aware of how rare it is to find something real in a world full of doubt, stereotypes, and shortcuts.
That is why we created our Maica Filipina Matchmaker
We were once where our clients are now—hoping, questioning, and wanting something genuine. Our story is proof that real love still exists when intentions are clear, effort is consistent, and respect comes first.
